I was tired and couldn’t focus

signs you need to drink more water

I went through a period where I was extremely tired and could not focus.  I tried eating energy-rich foods, drinking healthy smoothies, and exercise but nothing seemed to help.

I was extremely lethargic in the morning and by 2 pm I could hardly keep my eyes open.

Who would have thought that my symptoms were caused by dehydration?  I’ve never been a fan of drinking water so it was pretty much my last drink choice.

I actually realized that I didn’t drink much of anything throughout the day.  My only liquid intake was during meals and I didn’t drink much.

I was definitely dehydrated!

  2. I am not good at drinking water, that’s something I’m actually working on. Your tips were very inspiring actually, I’ve already filled up a bottle of water and am gonna eat more fruits every day, and remember drinking a glass of water before each meal! #motivated

    1. Hey Namra! I’m glad these tips help to motivate you. Drinking water is something that I really have to push myself to do as well. Good Luck on your Hydration Journey!

  3. I’ll be the first to admit I don’t drink enough water so I appreciate the signs but especially the tips! I need to keep a travel mug out so that my water stays cold AND I have a visual reminder

    1. Hey Carolyn! That visual reminder is key for me as well. It’s just not something you think about if it’s not staring you in the face. Lol

  4. This is really indeed. Water has a lot of benefits! and also thanks for reminding me to drink water because! I’m not good to drink water thanks for sharing!

  5. These are such great tips! “Remember, your body needs water. Take care of your body and it will take care of you.” I agree on what you said. I am guilty on neglecting my body especially in drinking water. Thank you for sharing!

  6. I agree with this article! I personally drink at least 4-5 liters of room temperature water a day. I fill my 2-liter water bottle to the brim and consume before noon. The other 2-2 1/2 liters, I consume before the day ends. I have been doing this for almost four years now. I exclusively only drink water and I’ve never felt better compared to those years I have barely been consuming 500 ml of water.

    1. I love your strategy! Thanks for sharing and it’s really cool that you have been able to maintain this level of water intake for 4 years.
